The location is ideal. The hotel is clean and staff mainly friendly.
The hotel was very tired with few facilities, The room we were given was set in a seventies time warp and proberley the worst room in the hotel. No lounge or area other than the hall to use the Wi Fi. Meals very expensive with very little choice. Swimming pool area had unsafe tiling around the edge. No in room facilities such as drinks making equipment.

Location.
For a gourmet restaurant with awards it was disappionting. Very filling rather than excellence. The service was however very good.

Great location and historic. Nice staff but breakfast was basic. Rooms were clean and suitable for our needs.
Stairs to the rooms were steep with heavy luggage and small children.

The hotel was very accessible and close to beautiful Cordes-sur-Ciel one of Franc's prettiest villages. Private parking and swimming pool were important for me.
The bedroom was very hot and no fans or air-con provided so sleep was difficult at this very hot time of year.

Typical French country hotel - with things which were mildy quaint, but overall a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Nice swimming pool (but unheated). Airy rooms, but no air con - shutters helped. Plumbing fine. Breakfast pleasant. Nice terrace for dining. Didn't eat dinner there due to extensive family events. The staff didn't have much English, but not a problem to us. Car park not very large, but on-street parking also possible.

We enjoyed the feeling that this has been a family home, with all the original features in tact and a feeling of age.Its proximilty to the medieval city of Cordes sur Ciel.
Lack of tea making faciltities in bedroom.

The initial grandness of the hotel
No sound proofing in the rooms, could here next door conversations, snoring etc. all floor boards very noisy. Swimming pool dirty, gardens overgrown, sun loungers broken and dirty. Hotel generally tired and in need of tlc.
